During the period that Alicante borrowed Valencia trams the track curving to the right of the depot continued and formed a turning loop. The stub besides the white van is the other end of this loop. This depot is used for the maintenance of diesel trains, with trams being serviced at a dedicated modern facility at El Campello. Visible are a series 2500 two-car unit, two Alsthom diesel locomotives, and aseries 2300 unit. Series 2500 is a rebuild of series 2300.

The building in the background still stands today, the palm trees have grown a little taller and this part of the paseo is now an elegant pedestrianised promenade.
