6th august 2008, the neugut viaduct at wallisellen. the train on the viaduct is heading for dübendorf and will pass below the viaduct on the right which carries the line to winterthur via dietikon. the two lines converge in stettbac which is behind the photographer's back. these viaducts were both built as part of zürich's new cross-town rail link in the 1980s. a third railway is now entering the scene in the form of the glattalbahn light railway. the earth mounds in the foreground are the signs of the first earthworks of its construction. the line will cross the picture from left to right at ground level approximately where the photographer is standing.
