Forchbahn

Autumn 2003, classic Forchbahn bogie car 10 close to Neuhaus. Although this was a special working, the vehicle could at the time occasionally still be seen in regular service. It is now the subject of a preservation attempt by VHF (link to external website).

The vehicle was ordered by Forchbahn 1940, but due to wartime material shortyges it was not delivered until 1944. Together with its sister vehicle, number 9 (now a works car), it heralded the beginning of the transformation of this railway from an antiquated interurban tramway to a modern suburban light railway.
