3 June 2009. View from the Santa Barbara castle, Alicante, of the FGV depot at La Marina. During the period that Alicante borrowed Valencia trams the track curving to the right of the depot continued and formed a turning loop. The stub besides the white van is the other end of this loop. This depot is used for the maintenance of diesel trains, with trams being serviced at a dedicated modern facility at El Campello. Visible are a series 2500 two-car unit, two Alsthom diesel locomotives, and aseries 2300 unit. Series 2500 is a rebuild of series 2300.
