Alicante seafront

21st October 2019. Closed section of the former Trenet line along the seafront in Alicante. The line that once went straight ahead directly on the seafront continued to La Marina and was replaced in 2010. The line that curves off to the right and passes under the roadway was opened in 2007 when trams reached Mercado and was closed in 2019 when the Serra Grossa tunnel made the seafront section superfluous. The sleepers still show where the lines once split.
